A message from our friends at the DeMolay Old South Tournament:

Hello and greetings from the DeMolay Old South Tournament,

If you haven’t already made plans on attending the Tournament this year, it’s still not too late. We are already receiving registrations, so don’t delay in making yours.

This is our 15th anniversary year and we hope that you won’t miss this special year. As you already know New Orleans was devastated last year by Hurricane Katrina. We were not sure we would be able to return to our home city but things have proceeded so that we can. We will be at a new hotel though. The one we were at received considerable flood damage and was not able to have us return. The new hotel, The Royal St. Charles, on St. Charles Avenue, is closer to the Scottish Rite Temple and to the French Quarter for sight seeing. From all appearances it really looks to be a much nicer hotel too. We are excited to offer this unique hotel and believe you will enjoy your stay there also.

This year’s Tournament is shaping up to be one of our best. We just received a registration from a DeMolay in Brazil. We need to contact him so that he fully completes his registration but I believe that will be resolved easily. Do any of you speak Portuguese? We sure hope he speaks English.

Our website, www.demolay-oldsouthtournament.org is filled with information and of course the registration forms. Be sure to fill them out completely and the Consent and Release form is a requirement too. There is a section about our new hotel. Reserve your
rooms early and be sure to mention the “DeMolay Group” when you reserve. There are a limited number of rooms blocked for us so get yours while they are available. You will find that any other hotel rooms will cost considerably more.
